Q HE'S IN ANOTHER LEAGUE
The boy I like is a bit older - I’m 15 and he is 16. We were talking about it and I started to like him a lot (and I still do), but I just found out that he has had a baby with someone. Now I feel really betrayed. Please help, I don’t know what to do.
A

Well, obviously he’s had unprotected sex. But what’s perhaps not so obvious is that you are too young to legally have sex. Don’t ever forget that. You say you like him, but feel betrayed by something that happened before you met him. That’s more than a bit unfair. You may decide that you don’t want to be with someone who’s got much bigger responsibilities than you so can’t put you first, and that’s fine, but don’t judge him on his past. Sadly, people can’t undo their past but can learn from their mistakes. If you do decide to date him take it super slowly and do not have sex until you are 16 and when you do make sure you’re up for it, and make sure you’re properly protected.

Q FRIENDS OR FELLA?
My boyfriend is taking me away from my friends. I thought I'd talk to him about it, so I did and ended up in tears. He told me to choose between him, and my friends, how can I do that?! I need help!
A

If he can’t share then tough luck, he can’t have you at all. Period. No one needs anyone 24/7. That’s unhealthy and you’ve been mature, confident and brave to talk to him about it. If I was in your position I wouldn’t hesitate – I’d chose my mates. I bet you anything he’ll come crawling back and when he does – if and that’s a huge IF - you want him back he better realise that you deserve way more respect. He doesn’t own you and doesn’t get to tell you to choose like that. Who wants an under confident little baby boy as a boyfriend anyway?!
