The Wanted, Jessie J, Lawson...
All your weekend news!
THE WANTED BLACK OUT
It's a bit of a pain in the bum having a power cut, especially when you can't find candles and torches, and you end up having to play charades with your parents in front of the fire. So it's understandable that people of LA were a bit peeved when a huge black out happened recently due to an electrical transformer being used by The Wanted! The boys sorted the sitch by sheepishly going around knocking on doors to apologise. A source told The Sun, "The lads went from door to door saying sorry to most of those whose nights had been ruined. It was funny in a way but a load of the neighbours were ready to punch them – it was just the lads' manners that saved the day."
It's time to bid farewell to the designer dresses, Mulberry handbags and the champagne only parties (do they ever drink anything else?!) where someone is always handily poised with a camera phone to capture the secret goings on. Yup, Gossip Girl is going byebyes after the sixth season, airing in the US later this year. It'll be a short 11 episodes and will finally reveal the true identity of Gossip Girl. Not sure what we're saddest about, losing out on all the glitz and glam, or no longer getting our weekly fix of Chuck Bass and Nate Archibald. Booooo!
JESSIE J: "I WILL SHAVE!"
Jessie J the slaphead? She soon could be. Having promised in the past to shave off her trademark tresses for charity, Jessie has said she's a woman of her word. She told Capital FM, "My second album, my tour and the head shave are the three main things at the moment for me. I'm very excited to announce (the hair cut), it might not be right now, it might not be soonish, but it's going to be bigger than anyone thought it was going to be and I'm going to try to raise as much money as I can."
LAWSON ARE AWESOME
Lawson took part in the Station Sessions festival recently which saw the boys performing at St Pancras station to a crowd of adoring fans and they've now released a video of their performance (below!) We have a lot of love for those boys, but apaz we're not the only ones as not only did fans pack out the train station to hear their set, the boys have also completely sold out their May tour! Wowsers. Watch this space for our interview with the boys. And Andy has finally admitted what we already had a massive hunch about - he did write When She Was Mine about ex girlfriend Mollie King. He told Capital FM, "Yeah, it is about Mollie. She's my ex and we split up and I wrote quite a few songs about it and 'When She Was Mine' was one of them." The remarkably Mollie-looking girl in the video was a bit of a giveaway. Who's got their tour tickets?
